New House

At the end of January 2025, the house neighboring the monastery, located at 1552 Mountain Rd, was listed for sale. The house has 1,480 sq.ft., 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a basement with two garages. The property contains 8.12 acres of land.

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Nicolae and at the recommendation of several friends of the monastery, we decided to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we did everything we could to purchase the property. We made an offer of $550,000, which was accepted. On February 21, 2025, we signed the purchase contract, with a closing date of April 7, 2025.

After remodeling work is completed, the house will serve as guest quarters for pilgrims and official guests.

Loan

Several good Christians have offered to lend us the entire purchase price, thereby helping us avoid mortgage costs. We made a commitment to return the loan as quickly as possible, with a maximum term of 10 years and a minimum payment of $4,500 per month.

(If we would have applied for a mortgage, we would have paid the bank over $660,000 just in interest.)

Therefore, we appeal to you, the friends and pilgrims of our monastery, requesting your help in returning this loan. To this end, we have opened a special bank account with M&T Bank, Middletown branch. There are several methods to send a donation, which will be deposited in this special account:
