Dear friends of Saint Dumitru Monastery,
Feast Day. We have the joy of inviting you to our monastery’s fall feast day on Sunday, October 19, in honor of our heavenly patron, Saint Dimitrie the New. His Eminence Metropolitan Nicolae will be present in our midst. The Divine Liturgy for the feast will begin on Sunday at 10am.
Also, we are very pleased to announce that the father abbot of Holy Putna Monastery, Archimandrite Melchisedec Velnic, will join us again for our fall feast day.
On this occasion, we will bless the newly-remodeled “Saint Jacob of Putna” House. Additionally, we will consecrate the church cupola iconography, which was completed early this summer by iconographers from Putna Monastery.

40 Daily Liturgies. With God’s help and with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Nicolae, we will serve the annual series of 40 consecutive Divine Liturgies, beginning on October 19 (our fall feast day) and ending on November 27 (Thanksgiving Day). We invite everyone to join us in prayer. The daily Liturgies are especially beneficial for the souls of the departed, for the sick, and for all those who suffer from various problems or need God’s help.
