\u00cen noaptea aceasta, din temni\u021b\u0103 g\u00e2ndul ne zboar\u0103
Prin neaua Cr\u0103ciunului dalb, s\u0103 colinde-amintirea.
Pe mucede paie, p\u0103rintele Gherasim trage s\u0103 moar\u0103.
E grea r\u0103suflarea, sleit\u0103 privirea.<\/p>

Ardeau ca f\u0103cliile ochii fiec\u0103rui bolnav,
Ioan \u0219i Valeriu \u0219i-au \u00eempreunat m\u00e2inile \u00een rug\u0103ciune.
Via\u021ba mai p\u00e2lp\u00e2ia ca o candel\u0103 ce se stinge \u00een trupul schilav;
Apoi, printre gratii, s-a v\u0103zut c\u0103z\u00e2nd o stea de t\u0103ciune.<\/p>

Domnea-n \u00eenc\u0103pere o lini\u0219te grea.
Doar aripe de \u00eengeri \u00een jur f\u00e2lf\u00e2iau, m\u0103t\u0103sos.
Departe, copiii c\u00e2ntau un c\u00e2ntec de stea.
P\u0103rintele Gherasim a plecat s\u0103 se-nchine la ieslea lui Hristos.<\/p>
